WATCH: Higher Brothers Break Down “7/11” in the Studio

Beats is really going in all of a sudden. Just last week, we got treated to an animated cartoon of Bohan Phoenix explaining his China tour and his China sauce. Now we get an in-studio breakdown with Higher Brothers, telling the story of their hit track “7/11”.

The track just came about as part of a natural flow when the group was up late pumping out tracks, and needed to hit the 7/11 for snacks. Masiwei talks about the original track, which was a much harder trap banger, before he ended up finding an old soul sample and re-engineering the whole thing. And we get the story behind DZknow’s smooth vocals too.

Check out the video and get educated on one of Higher Brothers’ most timeless jams.
