Watch: The Chinese Equivalent of “That’s F*cking Awesome”

Slang Dynasty is a series that unpacks the wide world of Chinese regional slang, internet colloquialisms, and assorted street-level jargon.

On today’s episode of Slang Dynasty, RADII’s Dawei Chen explains a new-school amalgamation of Mandarin and English, “OJBK”.

The acronym is an extension of “OK”, “O鸡吧K“, where the characters ji ba mean — as Dawei so elegantly puts it — “dick”.

“It’s kinda like, instead of saying ‘that’s awesome’, you say ‘that’s f*cking awesome.'”

Thanks Dawei. Tune in next time for another episode of Slang Dynasty.
