Yu Zhou, co-founder of Beijing’s Light Chaser Animation Studios, speaks to this phenomenon through the lens of China’s fast-growing animation sector, where a newfound sense of creativity, entrepreneurship and innovation are revealing how the “Made in China” tag has become cool. Founded less than five years ago, and often referred to as the “Pixar of China,” Light Chaser’s output is on a par with its 40-year-old predecessor, but with a distinctively Chinese flair.

About our Speaker
Yu Zhou is the co-founder of Light Chaser Animation Studios and the producer of its first three films. Before co-founding Light Chaser in 2013, Zhou was a senior vice president at Youku-Tudou and chief strategy officer at Tudou.com. Earlier in his career, he worked at A.T. Kearney, Motorola and Russell Reynolds. Zhou holds a computer science degree from Nankai University and an MBA from INSEAD. Zhou is a China Fellow of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
