Join Our Team: Video Strategist

We are looking for video star to come and kill it for RADII.

This person will primarily oversee an overhaul of our video strategy, establishing a clear identity and consistent voice for our visual storytelling.

From helping come up with concepts alongside our editorial team, to pre-production, talent and vendor management, on-set supervision, editing, budgeting, and building our video release schedule alongside RADII’s editorial and marketing teams, this is a varied role suitable for a detail-orientated self-starter with a passion for video.

Most importantly, the candidate should have a strong desire to carry out RADII’s mission of creating new bridges of cultural understanding via original, incisive, and youthful reporting on today’s China.

Duties will include

  • Defining strategic direction for video content series in line with the RADII mission and objectives as well as the demands of our target audience
  • Overseeing the planning and development of video creative from beginning to end as part of a cohesive creative strategy, from budgeting to logistics, on-location management to editing 
  • Working with the editorial team to build engaging visual stories that represent our brand
  • Collaborating with other teams including Social Media, Marketing and Business Development to shape creative and commercial video projects, plus execute and innovate new content formats
  • Contributing to the overall creative direction of RADII’s content

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum requirement of 3+ years of video project management or other video-related work
  • Production experience at an agency or in-house at a digital media company or production house
  • Strategic thinker with creative flare and project management skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Record of leading projects and campaigns with measurable results
  • Experience in YouTube strategy development; experience with other platforms a plus
  • Ability to manage budgets and vendors
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills, focus, and attention to detail
  • Ability to interact meaningfully with people of diverse backgrounds, personalities and expertise
  • Mandarin language fluency and English language proficiency a must
  • Illustration, animation, graphic design or video editing skills a huge plus
