Join Our Team: Editorial Project Manager

We are looking for an organizational wizard to join our small video team as an Editorial Project Manager. This person will primarily oversee the coordination of many moving parts of our editorial projects including our in-house video production, from helping come up with concepts alongside our editorial team, to pre-production, talent and vendor management, on-set management, editing and asset creation schedule, and building our video release schedule alongside RADII’s editorial team.

Most importantly, the candidate should have a strong desire to carry out RADII’s mission of creating new bridges of cultural understanding via original, incisive, and youthful reporting on today’s China.

Editorial Project Manager duties include

  • Distilling abstract video concepts and ideas down into actionable, step-by-step production plans
  • Work alongside editorial team to define video release calendar, creating and managing pre and post production timelines and workback schedules
  • Supporting editorial team in talent-facing correspondence, scheduling and coordination
  • Oversee and manage all shoot elements from travel/transportation, locations, to internal team coordination and third party production support (vendors, freelancers, equipment rentals, etc.)
  • Work with the Visual Editor to create social media assets for video projects and other editorial content
  • Assist with research, small-scale events or partnerships
  • Help manage other logistical needs for editorial team 
  • Budget management and other miscellaneous administration
  • Assist as needed with interview transcription and translation


  • A minimum requirement of 2 years of Project Management, Event Production or Video Production experience at an agency, in-house at digital media company or production house
  • Basic understanding of video production elements
  • Ability to manage simple budgets and vendors
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills, focus, and attention to detail
  • Mandarin language fluency and English language proficiency a must
  • Illustration, animation, graphic design or video editing skills a huge plus
  • Must be willing to travel within China as often as bi-monthly
