Radii aims to build bridges of cultural understanding between China and the West and reshape the narrative by telling engaging stories about contemporary Chinese society to a young overseas audience — people who may know little about China outside of mainstream media headlines. Our stories generally fall into one of three categories: Culture (art, music, film, literature), Innovation (“tech,” broadly defined), and Life (health, wellbeing, traditional Chinese medicine, and food/drink).

Want to join us? We’re looking to fill out our editorial team, specifically these two (paid) positions:

VISUAL EDITOR: We’re looking for someone to help shape Radii’s visual identity — someone with an eye for good design and the talent to help create striking visual content. This could mean making GIFs, shooting and editing short videos, and creating illustrations and/or graphic designs. It could also mean curating videos or creating photo essays, helping initiate video/photo projects, etc.

It’s an editorial position and we’re looking for someone who really understands our mission and can help us make an impact through the stories we tell through visual media. Can be full- or part-time, with commensurate pay.

Candidates are preferably in Beijing or Shanghai.

If you’re intersted, drop us a line at editor@radiichina.com with your CV, visual portfolio and a short cover letter.

MARKETER: We’re looking for a creative, guerilla marketer who can bring our stories to the right audience.

Our Marketing Guru should be flexible and diversely skilled — someone who’s as comfortable operating social media as they are forging connections to elevate our platform. Responsibilities will vary from social media management, to SEO optimization, to generating key insights into our readership, leading audience acquisition and developing strategies to connect with them.

The ideal candidate should have a strong handle on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and if possible, WeChat), be able to offer quantitative records of past digital marketing success, be familiar with our primarily young, US-based audience, and be able to operate individually, while generating and executing on plans to expand our reach. Event production experience is a plus.

Depending on the applicant, this could be a full- or part-time position, with commensurate pay.

Candidates are preferably in the United States, ideally in the San Francisco Bay Area.

If you’re intersted, drop us a line at editor@radiichina.com with your CV and a short cover letter.
