Chinese Porn App Disguised Itself as a Dried Fruit Vendor

Love Snacks. At first glance, a run-of-the-mill online store for ordering nuts and dried fruit. After downloading, a platform offering porn for savvy users.

The app — and others — offer access to illegal content through a platform called Rich Kids. That same platform was found masquerading as both a river monitoring app and an alarm clock app.

Love Snacks and River Flow Control system both marketed themselves on the app store with faux screenshots and descriptions that didn’t represent the pornographic content found inside the apps.

China’s government is constantly taking major steps in its effort to rid the country of porn. The National Office Against Pornographic and Illegal Publication at one point even offered 86,000USD rewards for those who reported illegal content.
